Open since 2015, Corps d’Elite, a luxurious customer service driven boutique hair salon offers a full menu of salon services for the “image conscious consumer”. Shun Pittman is the founder and principal of Corps d’Elite Salon and Corps d’Elite Beauty. The culture is that of an elite team of creative and talented hairdressers and makeup artists that deliver best in class salon service experiences to each client at every visit. Our team is excited about “hair”. We work with all hair types and hair textures where even the most modern salons are still quite segregated. Our mission is ”To meet and or exceed our guests’ expectations”. We pride ourselves in acquiring a minimum of 16 hours of continuing education from the country’s top salon professionals and leading educators. Seeking education keeps our team inspired and motivated to deliver our mission.
Corps d’Elite uses quality products from trusted brands, including the creation of the exclusive line of “Corps d’Elite Beauty” makeup products, which have been hand-crafted by Pittman, providing an assortment of merchandises full of vibrant colors, fit for all to enjoy.
Shun’s experience is that of 23 years in the beauty industry. Before launching Corps d’Elite, Shun worked in the education department (for 15 years) as an artistic director, for the world’s largest salon chain. She has a proven track record of helping to turn struggling salons into profitable million dollar producing salons. The position of artistic director afforded her the opportunity to educate, empower, coach, mentor, and train salon professionals worldwide. From, Europe to Thailand and all throughout North America she has motivated audiences of broad demographics through public speaking on topics such as business building, customer service, salon technical skills, product knowledge, and team building. She has been featured in many of the chain’s corporate DVDs that are used as educational tools to over 12,000 salons worldwide. She also performs stage work for major beauty expos and corporate photo shoots. Shun has an extensive background in research and development and represented companies like L’Oreal (Mizani, Matrix, and Redken), John Paul Mitchell Systems, Intelligent Nutrients, Big Sexy Hair, and Wella/Sebastian just to name a few.
Shun says “although beauty is my platform, I am in the “feel good” business. “Making people feel good about themselves is the greatest reward”.
